Michelle Dubreuil Macek, known for leading Biodanza throughout greater Washington, D.C., will be sharing her wisdom as an instructor at the renowned holistic retreat center, Kripalu, in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The course, which runs June 19 to 22, is open to all levels of experience.
In her classes, Macek helps participants to embrace, explore and expand into a deeper connection to the present moment through Biodanza. The experience is a celebration of the Divine within as participants dive into personal transformation through music, expressive movement and heartfelt emotion. Through Biodanza, it is possible to tap into vitality, sexuality, creativity, affectivity and transcendence; open the heart space and surrender to one’s individual potential; become more aware of one’s inner compass and the wisdom of the body; as well as learn to trust instincts through the power of movement and connection to others.
Macek considers herself as a space clearer of the body, mind and spirit. Her 14 years in Africa led her to become a Didact Biodanza Faciitator and currently the director of the school of Biodanza Maryland/DC, holding specialty training in Biodanza for organizations, Biodanza voice and percussion and Biodanza for children, youth and families. Macek mixes her movement training with skills as a Martha Beck-trained life coach and adds to the mix the energy medicine of a Metta Reiki Master Practitioner. She teaches at the Life Dance Loft in Fulton, Maryland.
