Curious about Going Raw?

A growing trend in nutrition, and good eating, is catching on among many people who are concerned about the sources and preparation of their food in order to maintain the highest nutritional levels. The choice that they have been making is to go raw. That is, to eat foods that have not been contaminated by heat or preservation processes. A free class on this topic, Easy Fun Raw, will be offered from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on July 28 at Reston Regional Library.

In this class, Professor Johanna Sophia will teach on how to add more raw food to your family’s diet for your heath and for the planet. Raw products are those in which enzymes, vitamins and phytonutrients are preserved, as well as essential fatty acids. Sophia founded Johanna’s Raw Foods, PBC, an organic food and coaching company. Her interactive presentation will focus on simple reasons why people should add more raw foods to their daily diet and how it can be done deliciously while having fun.
