It is actually possible to “win” the holidays, with healthy, delicious food (including baked goods) and a plan for January to get you set for tackling your new year’s resolutions. Elizabeth McMillian, a clinical nutrition specialist at the Rose Wellness Clinic in Oakton, will be offering a free webinar titled How to Ensure Your Health Will Survive the Holiday Season. The webinar will be held at 7 p.m. on December 12. All are invited to participate.
McMillan, a frequent contributor to Natural Awakenings DC, will be offering her expertise on tasty and healthy meal and recipe ideas for the holidays, while creating color in the holiday harvest. For those who need to be creative in their holiday baking to accommodate those with gluten, dairy and egg allergies and sensitivities, she teaches the trick of trade for healthy baking without wheat (and other gluten sources), milk and eggs.
In the webinar, McMillan will also be sharing in-depth health and wellness tips to help you do more than survive this most hectic time of the year. But if you do indulge or want to start a new path in the new year, she will offer a plan to do a detox which will help you keep those resolutions.
This webinar, sponsored by Natural Awakenings DC, is open to all who want to learn how to eat, drink and be happy throughout the holidays and beyond.
